Use the book form or contact, call 0330 520 2380, or email reed@cleanandtidy.scot. Enquiries are answered first by Reed (Habitation Checks Scotland ops). Tell us whether you want a mobile visit or a static (depot) inspection at Broxburn. We’ll confirm details and arrange your check.

No. An MOT checks the base vehicle for roadworthiness. A Habitation Check is a leisure-vehicle living-area safety check for motorhomes and caravans (electrics, gas, water, heating & safety, bodywork, damp survey, service history, plus a written Pass/Fail report). Running gear is visual/operational only — not a DVSA MOT or full mechanical service. Some warranties or insurers may ask for evidence — check your handbook or policy.

Nine engineer-report sections: electrical systems; gas systems; water systems; heating, ventilation & safety; bodywork & chassis; damp meter survey; running gear (visual/operational — not a DVSA MOT); service history review; and observations with a written Pass/Fail report. Coverage depends on how the vehicle is equipped. See Services for Menu A prices.

Locked public prices: Habitation Check £269, Pre-Purchase Inspection £299, Caravan Service single £335 / double £370. Season Ready, Anti-Bacterial Flush and Winterisation are £249 alone or £119 when booked with Hab, PPI or Caravan Service. Trailer servicing is POA.

No. Mobile (we come to you, Scotland-wide) and static (depot) at Unit 9, Albyn Industrial Estate, Broxburn use the same service price. For mobile jobs, the first 20 miles are free, then 85p per mile outside our free radius, there and back.

Full refund for cancellations up to 72 hours before the appointment. Fee-free amendment up to 72 hours before. After that, amendment may incur a fee; cancellation = no refund (amendment only). Opening hours for enquiries are 09:00–20:00.

Yes — both. Habitation Checks Scotland covers motorhomes and caravans. The same engineer report structure applies to both.

Even brand-new motorhomes and caravans often benefit from — and are often preferred to have — a habitation check. That preference is commonly driven by warranty conditions, some insurer expectations, campsite rules, and factory/dealer handovers that can miss living-system issues. Check your warranty and policy — it is not legally required for all new vans.

No. Caravan servicing (single or double axle) is a bolt-on under Habitation Checks Scotland — same team, same booking, same brand.
